100 Learn about Mary’s Intercession

Deacon Tom Fox speaks at the ambo while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed on the altar at St. Monica parish in Converse

On Thursday, January 18, Evening with Mary, a Pilgrim Center of Hope Marian mini-conference, was presented at St. Monica in Converse.

Deacon Tom Fox presented “Mary’s Powerful Intercession for Today” to approximately 100 parishioners. Partnering with Pilgrim Center of Hope was the parish group, Catholic Daughters, who helped promote this event at their parish, and participated by welcoming attendees and offering the Rosary.

St. Monica has a Thursday tradition of Adoration Holy Hour from 7:00–8:00pm and included Evening with Mary in this weekly parish event. It provided a truly spiritual feel to the event, and we know our Lord Jesus was quite pleased to share the altar with our Blessed Mother!

Deacon Tom explained the 4 Marian dogmas, highlighted a few Marian apparitions, and explained how Mary continues to go to her Son as an intercessor for the wellbeing of her children. The evening began with Adoration and Benediction, and ended with the parishioners offering the Rosary for the needs of the parish and their own personal intentions.

Two scheduled Evenings with Mary are in need of a parish host. They are:

Friday, March 23, 2018
Friday, November 30, 2018

We are also happy to work with parishes on other dates, as well.
