The mission of the Catholic Women’s Conference is to foster an appreciation for the personal dignity of women, to encourage women to know and love God, and to inspire women to use their feminine gifts to transform the family and society.
CWC is an annual event for healing, spiritual direction, for receiving tools for everyday living and resources for education.
Today, women and men are bombarded with confusing and detrimental messages about their worth, life’s purpose, and role in society and family life.
The Pilgrim Center of Hope, a Catholic evangelization apostolate, enters this confusion at the grassroots level, using many innovative paths to draw women and men and their families to encounter Christ through His Church. One of these paths is through our Ministry of Conferences; organizing annual events with a mission to teach, inspire, and challenge women and men in their unique dignity as children of God.
What can one conference do?
The conference experience—steeped in the Sacraments (Mass, Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration) and speaker presentations focused on the full truth of our vocation—ignites the spirit of women and men as disciples of Christ. Participants receive spiritual tools for everyday living and resources for education. Each year, the Pilgrim Center of Hope learns about fruits of this conference experience: vocations to consecrated life, saved marriages, return to the practice of faith, and women and men returning to their families, their workplaces, and their parishes on fire with the Holy Spirit.
I am a wife, mother of two teenaged sons and coordinator for this wonderful event. Though born and raised Catholic, it was as an adult I came to appreciate the beauty of our Catholic faith. Women are told all the time who they are supposed to be and how they are supposed to act; but rarely are they told how unique, special, and perfect they are in God’s eyes. I am so blessed to be able to share my love of Jesus and His Church with all the beautiful women who attend our conference.
