Mission

The mission of the Catholic Women’s Conference is to foster an appreciation for the personal dignity of women, to encourage women to know and love God, and to inspire women to use their feminine gifts to transform the family and society.

History

CWC

In 2001, Mary Jane Fox founded the Catholic Women’s Conference to educate women on both the teachings of the Catholic Church and of their personal dignity. She had
read an article entitled, “The Vocation of Holy Womanhood” by Amy Love, and she wanted to spread the news to the whole world! She believed that today, more than ever, women needed to know about the gift of their feminity.

With the support and encouragement of her husband, the Catholic Women’s Conference was born. Mary Jane envisioned the conference to be a “spiritual haven” where women could come together to learn and pray, to be challenged and healed, and to receive resources that would help them on their journey.

The Catholic Women’s Conference has the blessing of San Antonio Archbishop Emeritus Patrick Flores and Archbishop Jose H. Gomez

Pope Benedict XVI has cordially imparted an Apostolic Blessing to the Catholic Women’s Conference in 2006

Attendance has grown over the past several years and ministers to thousands of women.Women come from all over Texas and the country to attend the nationally recognized Conference. The Catholic Women’s Conference continues to be a source of inspiration and healing to
women of all ages. The conference serves as a model for other Catholic Women’s Conferences in other
dioceses nationwide
