Intercessors for the Pilgrim Center of Hope
The Pilgrim Center of Hope has launched a prayer ministry called Intercessors for the Pilgrim Center of Hope. Intercession is an important ministry in God’s plan of salvation.
St. Therese of Liseux, a 19th century Carmelite nun, spent hours in her convent praying for the salvation of souls. She became the patron Saint of Missionaries because of her intercession for them and their mission to reach out to souls.
An intercessory prayer group can direct the course of world events, prevent wars, change elections, and transform the world. The Church teaches that the intercession of the saints in Heaven is “their most exalted service to God’s plan” (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2683). Intercessors for the Pilgrim Center of Hope are asked to commit to pray for the Ministry throughout the week.
Intentions and concerns of the Ministry will be presented to each Intercessor. It is a united effort in building up the body of Christ through this Evangelization Ministry. We know that prayer is essential for any ministry which desires to serve the Lord and the Church He founded. The more faithful we are, the more effective the prayer. “Powerful indeed is the prayer of a faithful person.” James 5:16
Intercessors’ names will be written in a book and placed in the Center’s Chapel.
A Mass will be offered once a month for their intentions, they will be remembered in prayer each day in the Center’s Chapel, and an annual private retreat will be offered.
