Janie Contreras
Secretary
secretary@pilgrimcenterofhope.org
A native of Brownsville, TX, Janie remembers what strengthened her during her move to San Antonio: “I realized that the Lord was answering my prayers yet I was clouded by focusing on what I was losing. I knew San Antonio had strong Catholic roots and since it was a bigger city, I hoped that the opportunities for my spiritual growth would materialize.”
Janie now takes courses at Oblate School of Theology and plays an active role in her parish. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys. “I’ve learned my time isn’t always mine alone, but I do love every minute of it.”
“I love working at the Pilgrim Center of Hope because I enjoy serving others who are also on a faith journey. The many evangelization ministries provided by the PCH are true blessings from Our Lord.”

Angela has two passions: ministry and communications. During her studies at St. Mary's University, where she earned a B.A. in English communication arts concentrating in marketing and theology, Angela wrote her thesis on new media and evangelization. As Ministry Coordinator, Angela works to creatively promote the Pilgrim Center of Hope through new and traditional media. She also coordinates volunteers, guests and materials for our Catholicism Live! TV/radio program. In her spare time, Angela promotes GRN Alive, a new Catholic radio program aired by the Guadalupe Radio Network.
Sarah Stravitsch
Catholic Women’s Conference Coordinator
cwc@catholic.org
Sarah is a mother of two wonderful and energetic children. When she isn't chasing kids around, she serves as the Coordinator of the Catholic Women’s Conference. Sarah has always been fascinated by the dignity of the human person made in the image of God and by the beauty of God’s plan for us. While in college, she discovered Pope John Paul II's writings on women, and ever since then she has been sharing with others the inspiring message of the New Feminism. After earning a B.A. in English from Texas A&M University, she spent four years teaching English, Literature, and Religious Education. Soon after her first son was born, she stopped teaching and became the Catholic Women’s Conference Coordinator.
